Transitions can be really hard, whether you are going from the school year to the summertime, switching jobs, or can just feel life changes occurring. It’s important to be mindful of your anxiety triggers and understand this is just a passing phase.

What is a “Transitional Phase”?

A transitional phase is defined as any time in your life where you are shifting from one pattern to the next. These are necessary for development but can be jarring as you change your routine. Some examples of transitional phases are:

  • Switching between the school year and summertime
  • Changing jobs
  • Moving houses or locations
  • Having children
  • Losing a loved one
  • Going to College

Anxiety during transitional phases can show up in a variety of ways. Here are some ways anxiety can show up as life changes:
