Pushing Through the Panic: 4 Ways to Overcome Anxiety
Anxious moments pop up for everyone — not just those with anxiety disorders. They can be difficult to navigate and they can create a whirlwind of thoughts that are hard to untangle. In the moment, it can be hard to come out of anxiety thoughts and bring yourself back to normalcy.
However, by practicing coping mechanisms that will pull you out of your own head, you can create patterns that are beneficial to your mental health.
Personally, I have suffered panic attacks for years. Debilitating ones that stop me in my tracks. In the 15 years since my anxiety attacks started, I have tried many ways to halt them in their tracks. I have found that a lifestyle change is the most important preventative measure. But, the panic still pops up every once in a while! Below you will find some personal methods I use to help my panic attacks.
1. Deep Breathing
