Re-Igniting Your Spiritual Practice
3 Tips to Get Back to Being You
Do your wellness practices tend to ebb and flow? If so, you are not alone. I often find myself placing my spiritual practices on the back burner when life gets busy. It seems backward because this is when I need them most! Whether the loss of my spiritual practices or the difficulty of life comes first, I never truly know. What I do know is that it is in my best interest to get back on my path.
Recognizing When You’ve Fallen Off
The first thing you need to do in order to get back in line with your spiritual and mindful practices is notice that they’ve been pushed away. This can come in many forms depending on who you are and how you process things. Here are a few ways to tell that you’ve been neglecting your spirituality:
- Feeling ‘blah’ or disinterested in life
- Fatigue
- Having a busy mind (but not in a good way)
- Anxiety
- Stopping other good habits (e.g. exercise and eating well)
- Falling into vices
No matter what you feel, you probably don’t feel like yourself. It is important to recognize that you are not exactly where you want to be, but you will definitely get there.
